How to get that glow

Looking natural is a growing trend among young ladies and A-list celebrities alike, but that doesn't mean you can't wear any makeup. Instead, it's now in to enhance your natural good looks. One of the best ways to improve your assets is to obtain a glowing complexion, like Natalie Portman at the New York City Spring Ballet Gala.

InStyle Magazine recently spoke to Portman's makeup artist to get the inside scoop on getting the perfect glow. First, you should always wash your face and scrub it with a face cloth to remove any dirt or grime. Then, apply face primer using a pad to seal in any imperfections. Next, play with blush and bronzer to find a product (or a mix of two) that creates a glow on your skin. Try out different makeup brushes as well to get a feel for which ones spread the best.

Portman's makeup artist suggests after finding the right combo, start by sweeping the blush hue on the top of your cheekbones, your brow bones and the bridge of your nose. These are all areas where the sun naturally hits a person's face, making its key points to stand out. Finish off the illuminating look by applying a shimmering bronzer over the blush for that special something.
