What To Pack For Your Vacation

Some people like to take a break from their usual beauty routine while on vacation, but many like to glam-up, or at least have the basics with them. And for those that bring along your products, we all know how much of a hassle it is to forget a product and have to buy a new one, or find an alternative! We’ve listed a few of our must-haves while on vacation. What are yours?

1. Makeup and Beauty Products
Vacation is usually not the time to try a brand new palette, so bring along all of your favorites. While planning activities, think about what type of colors you’d be in the mood for and choose a palette that contains versatile shades. You can’t go wrong with neutral shades in matte & shimmer, like our 88 Color Neutral Palette or 26 Shadow Blush Combo Palette. Always remember to bring along your favorite moisturizer, especially if you are flying. Also, don’t forget to bring your favorite blush – you don’t want to look too washed out in photos! Choose a blush with shimmer if you want to glow, or choose a matte blush for a natural flush. Last but not least, take along a shade of lip gloss or lipstick that will go with anything, like a rose or berry shade.

2. Hair Care Products
If you’re particular about your shampoo and conditioner, don’t take the risk of using what the hotel gives you. Many hotels offer great shampoo and conditioner, but they aren’t made for specific needs. Bring your own if your hair needs special attention, and if you are flying, don’t forget that you can only bring 3 ounces or less. You can purchase airline-friendly bottles at any drugstore. Another great thing to take along is dry shampoo, which can also be found at drugstores or specialty hair stores. If you get busy and don’t have time to wash and dry your hair, dry shampoo can be a lifesaver. Dry shampoo will also help give your hair texture if you want to put your hair up.

3. Sunscreen
A painful sunburn is the last thing you want on your vacation, so don’t forget your sunscreen. If you are planning on spending any amount of time outside, make sure you apply sunscreen frequently, especially if you go in the water. We suggest using SPF 50 or more (minimum SPF 35). Bring along some lip balm with sunscreen to help protect your lips too!

No matter where you are going on vacation, bringing your favorite beauty products along with you will make your vacation less stressful and more enjoyable. Or, break free from cosmetics for a while and don’t bring anything!
