I have lately been obsessing over makeup brushes.. I have tons of makeup brushes but still keep buying more.. I just love the feel of new brushes! I had been willing to get my hands on the BH Cosmetics Party Girl Brush Set for quite some time and Zensky made that possible for me..

Zensky is a Facebook page through which you can order almost anything from the US whether it is makeup, clothes, shoes, bags.. even toys for kids.. Anything you want.. Zensky brings it to you! The page is owned by a really sweet girl and it was a pleasure dealing with her… Shopping through this page is extremely easy. You inbox her the links of items you want and she converts the prices and lets you know how much they would cost you. You can then confirm your order. Pre-orders take almost a month to arrive but she also uploads instock items which can be delivered instantly.

The main reason why i love this page besides the sweet owner is the prices she offers.. She has the most reasonable priced items.. I love the fact that she does not double up the prices and i have not seen any other page offering the same products at such a reasonable cost. I have already recieved my second order and placed my third order..

The delivery is super fast too.. She sends the parcel through Leopards Courier and you get your package within 3 days. She also offers cash on delivery for Karachi and for other cities, you can make the payment via bank transfer or easy paisa.

Now coming to the brush set itself.. I am in love with it!!! From the packaging to the quality.. I love everything about this brush set!! These are my most reached brushes and to be honest they are so pretty that it was quite hard for me to use them as i wanted them to stay clean forever! ( Yea i know i’m a wierdo :p)

The brush set comes in a gorgeous eye catching metallic purple faux-leather case with snap closure which is great for travelling. Each brush is covered in transparent plastic to protect the handles and bristles. The handles are metallic mauve-pink and each brush has “BH Cosmetics” written on it. The bristles are two toned with a black base and purple tips.
The quality of these brushes is AMAZING!! The handles are sturdy and the bristles are extremely soft and fluffy. They are a heaven to use!! The brushes work well with both cream and powder products and are great at blending. I gave them a wash before use and they did not shed at all.
You get 14 brushes in this set which includes face, eyes and lip brushes. This brush set is a must have!! It is great for travelling. Here is a description for each brush..

Powder Brush:

It is a large, fluffy, super soft brush which is great for powder application. It works well with both compact and loose powders. It feels so buttery on the skin and i love using it!

Angled Blush Brush:

This is perfect for blush application. It works great with both powder and cream blushes. It can also be used for contouring and bronzer application.

Classic Foundation Brush:

It is quite thick but still soft and can be used for applying cream foundations. It can also be used for blending the concealer especially in areas like the under eye area and around the nose.

Large Eyeshadow Blending Brush:

It is a large fluffy brush and a bit too large for my eyelids. I mostly use it for setting the concealer under my eyes. It can also be used to contour the nose.

Angled Eyeshadow Brush:

It is an angled brush and works great for applying eyeshadow on the outer corners of the eyes as well as in the crease to create a smokey eye look. It is quite soft and blends the shadows nicely.

Small Tapered Blending Brush:

This is one of my favorite brushes out of the bunch! It is great for applying eyeshadow in the crease. It is quite precise and soft.

Rounded Smudge Brush:

It is a bit thicker and denser than the small tapered blending brush. It can be used for smudging the eyeliner. It can also be used for eyeshadow application in the crease.

Classic Eyeshadow Brush:

It is a simple flat eyeshadow brush for applying eyeshadow all over the lid. I normally wet it a bit before use to avoid any fall outs.

Small Eyeshadow Blending Brush:

It is a small fluffy brush and great for blending the eyeshadow all over the lid. It is also one of my favorite brushes out of the bunch and i use it for applying the eyeshadow as well as blending it.

Flat Smudge Brush:

This is great for smudging the eyeliner on the lower eyelid below the waterline and creating a smoked out effect.

Large Angled Liner & Brow Brush:

It is great for eyeliner application as well as filling in the brows. It works really well for creating a winged eyeliner.

Small Angled Liner & Brow Brush:

It is more precise and can be used for creating double wings with the eyeliner. It can also be used to fill in the eye brows.

Eye Detailing Brush:

This is an extremely small and precise brush. I use it to apply a brightening eyeshadow in the inner corners of my eyes.

Lip Brush:

It is a pointed brush and can be used to outline the lips and also fill them in. It comes handy when applying dark lipstick shades.
The quality of each and every brush in this set is great for the price paid. You can get this brush set on the BH Cosmetics website here. It originally retails for $28.95 but most of the time it is on sale. BH Cosmetics always has a sale or some kind of an offer going on so keep an eye out for such offers!

Stumbling to BH Cosmetics website is like heaven for makeup mavens. They possibly have any makeup item you can think of, from makeup palettes, to lipsticks, to contour palettes, blush palettes, foundation, to those wide variety of makeup brushes. Best thing about it is that, they always have an on going promotion, each item is so affordable (and when i say affordable, it’s really affordable. Trust me, Im a coupon lady) I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of BH Cosmetics too.
To cut the story short, I purchased a few makeup goodies from them when they had their free shipping promo. One of which is their 120 Eyeshadow Palette 1st Version, i got it for $14. They actually have five versions of it and it’s probably one of the best purchase ever. I just wanted to put it out here that their shipping is fast, in as short as two days, my order was already in my house. Feels like amazon prime. They also ship world wide! YAYYY!

The packaging of this palette is a simple black durable plastic, with a matte finish on it and it comes with a decent size mirror. It doesn’t come with any brush or applicator.
It’s a two layer palette that consist of 60 shades per layer, the nickel coin on the photo serves as size comparison. This particular palette resembles the color wheel, it’s relatively complete from your reds to your blacks and whites. It is also a combination of matte, satin, and shimmery finishes. The possibility of this palette is endless, feels like you can create whatever look you want.
The eyeshadow sizes arent too big or too small, in my opinion you still get a decent size of it. I find it interesting that they added some marble-ized eyeshadow colors. The colors are very vibrant and opaque.

Here is a quick swatches of colors in the finger… View the complete list of ingredients HERE.
A closer look of the palette…
Now, let’s go and test the longevity of the eyeshadow

Here is the look I came up with, I used the violet shades of the palette that I marked on this photo:
and it looks like this:
Take note that on my right eye, I used a primer, and my left eye only has the shadows. I have an oily type of skin, and my lids tends to be oily. So on this test, we will also see if the shadows can stay still even on oily lids.
Application is so easy, they are super blendable and buildable. You don’t need to be an expert to use these shadows.
AFTER 4 HOURS (room lightning)…
My face is becoming very oily and so are my eyelids, so far, both are holding together and everything looks good.
AFTER 5 HOURS (in natural light)…
Both are still on point, however, I can see some minor creasing on my left eye (no primer eye lid), it’s no biggie for me since the blending and vibrancy is still there. Take note that I went out to do some groceries and ran some errands during this time frame. Let see how it looks at the end of the day.
TOTAL OF SEVEN HOURS… (bathroom lightning)
The eye shadows held up pretty well! Wow. I only noticed some minor creasing, which I think, is due to the oiliness of my lids. The colors are still vibrant, and the blending is still noticeable.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I really loved this palette, the combinations and possibilities are endless. The color pay off is excellent, the packaging is elegant and simple. The eyeshadows are so easy to apply and blend, and best of all, they are buildable. They are long lasting and doesn’t crease that much even without the use of a primer. You do not need to be an expert to use this. Color selection is awesome, it’s literally like the color wheel on its palette edition. I love that it’s a variety of shimmer, matte, and satin, it means that you have more option to choose from. The price is so worth it, the delivery is fast. Overall, this product won my heart. I am so happy I bought this. Highly recommended.
Go ahead and other you very own palette HERE.
10/10

Hi dolls!

Welcome back to my blog.

As you know BH Cosmetics is another one of my favorite beauty brands.  I first heard about them from watching Nicole Guierro on Youtube where she showed the original Blush and Contour palette.  When I had gone to their site I could not believe how affordable they were, and come on let’s face it if Nicole Guierro was using it then it was a must have for me lol :)  Ever since then I have always purchased from them.  This new product really caught my interest so I had to grab it and try it out.

Beauty blenders are my favorite tool when applying makeup.  I feel that they leave the best finish on the skin.  As of right now I own the Original Beauty Blender, Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, and now the BH Studio Pro Beauty Sponge.

This sponge is available on http://www.bhcosmetics.com and retails for $9.95.  This site always has great flash sales so I’m sure you will be able to get it for a lot cheaper.

It is purple, and a little smaller then the other sponges.  I have tested it out both dry, and wet, and I think its great both ways.  Wet gave me more of a natural coverage, and dry gave me more of a full coverage.  The pointed top makes applying and blending concealer under the eyes, nose, and forehead a breeze, while the flatter bottom is ideal for blending in foundation, and even your contour.

When you first feel it you might think it is rather stiff, but once you wet it and start using it, you will see how bouncy and great it is.

It is latex free, and hypo allergenic.

To clean this sponge, I dip it in a small amount of olive oil and let it sit in a bowl of anti-bacterial dish soap for half an hour, and then rinse clean.

BH Cosmetics never disappoints me and this is another product from them that I highly recommend if you want so save some money.  I will do a full review on all three sponges so you can have an easier time choosing which might work best for you.

Thank you for reading.

I am an absolute sucker for eyeshadow palettes. Show me a palette in neutrals and it’ll be on my dressing table in 10 seconds flat. This palette is a little outside my usual comfort zone but it is just so stunningly pretty that I couldn’t resist (I tried!).

The Product – BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Palette ($22.95 USD)

I actually purchased this palette from a little store called My Cube in the Myer Centre in Brisbane, so I paid a little more than the RRP of $23 USD….but it was worth it! It caught my eye one day and I thought about it so much that I just had to go back and buy it. I mean, a space-themed eyeshadow palette, who could walk past that?

The palette itself contains 18 shimmery, baked eyeshadows, all with space-themed names. There are a range of colours but the main themes are blue, orange, brown and purple. They aren’t colours that I would usually go for but they are just stunning to look at. The colour payoff is also pretty amazing, you really only need a tiny bit of shadow. The only downside would be the fallout, which is minor but still pretty annoying. My favourite shades would have to be Milky Way (a shimmery white-pink), Mars (a bold orange), Pluto (a black-purple) and Sun (a red-gold shimmer) but I love every single shade in the palette. I also think the palette itself is great, very sturdy with a decent sized mirror. I do feel like the shadows wouldn’t travel well, they do seem a little delicate and prone to smashing, but I’m more than happy to give this palette a permanent home on my dressing table.
