sept Top trends to try from NYC Fashion Week New York Fashion Week recently ended and ladies everywhere are still relishing in the fabulous styles they saw. In order to figure out exactly what trends to try and which ones to avoid, Glamour Magazine broke down the top looks on display during the recent shows and how to rock them now. Herve Leger For this trend, models wore berry-toned lipstick on their pouts in matte finishes and tons of golden brown bronzer under their cheekbones for superb definition. The makeup artist responsible for this look added a touch of Vaseline to the models' cheeks and the teardrop on their upper lips for a stunning and dewy complexion. The eyes were kept simple with a touch of black eyeliner on the top lids, cream eyeshadow at the inner corners of the models' eyes and a mellow gold hue on their top lids up to the brow lines. Oscar de la Renta The fuchsia hue did not stop at the lips, however as the models' modest updo's got a splash of color by way of hot pink hair dye that was used to create swirls in their hair as they walked the runway. J. Crew For this runway display, models stood out wearing bold true-orange lipstick in a matte finish. The makeup artist then applied even more color to the models' faces using a peach-toned bronzer on their high cheekbones. For the eyes, it was all about green - metallic shimmering kelly green eyeliner was applied on the models' top and bottom lids followed by metallic gold eyeshadow from their inner corners and halfway up the top lids. Julianne Carell, the beauty assistant at Glamour, loved the over-the-top look. "I'm in love with the whole beauty look at J.Crew. What really gets me are the slicked back ponies and bright orange lips," Carell said in the magazine. "And if you look really really closely, there's a sweep of seafoam/limeish green shadow on the lids. SO CUTE! And I will be replicating this look starting right now." Holmes & Yang "I love the glamorous aspect of done-undone, masculine meets feminine makeup at Holmes & Yang," India-Jewel Jackson, a beauty contributor for Glamour said. "Just look at those bold brows and lush lashes and the flesh-tone pared-down lip - so stunning! Plus, I wish more women would be confident enough to rock a hybrid pompadour-faux hawk hairstyle." To achieve this modern and mellow makeup trend, start by rocking sun-kissed bronzer on your cheekbones. Next, apply a thick layer of black eyeliner on your top lids and push the product out past your brow lines in a wing-style for a gorgeous cat eye look. Finish off this easy and stylish creation wearing mascara or take it one step further and apply false lashes for more drama.
