Feb The new 'it' smokey eye on display at Jason Wu New York Fashion Week is in full swing, and that means it the time of year for ladies to learn the top trends set to take over the fashion and beauty world. One of the show-stopping styles that popped up already, was the gorgeous indigo smokey-eye worn on models in the Jason Wu show. For this stellar and totally original eye makeup, you'll need dark purple, violet and lilac eyeshadow, as well as mascara. To begin, swipe the darker purple hue along the top and bottom lash lines to create a dramatic and unexpected statement. Next, use the violet hue on your top lids, pushing the product out past your brow lines for a cat-eye style. Use a makeup brush to blend to the two colors together and then swipe a lighter lilac hue on at the inner corners for a soft glow. When the eyes are perfectly purple, swipe a few coats of mascara on your top and bottom lids to finish the look. Since the eyes are meant to be the focus, keep the rest of your complexion simple. A touch of light pink blush on your cheeks and clear gloss on your lips would be ideal.
