Get Miranda Cosgrove's killer cosmetics
Prom is still a few months away, but what better cure for the winter blues than thinking about how you will look on the big night. You may be going with your long-time sweetheart, or might still be getting up the nerve to ask that cute guy in your biology class - either way, you'll want to look drop-dead gorgeous.
Miranda Cosgrove, star of the hit Nickelodeon show iCarly, displayed her fabulous flare for fashion while attending the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards - and her makeup would be perfect for prom. According to Teen Vogue, the gorgeous starlet didn't need much, however the pops of color on her lips and eyes made her stand out.
Cosgrove's makeup artist Deb Ferullo spilled her styling secrets on Cosgrove's award show look. First, Ferullo used a base product all over her face - this helps to eliminate any imperfections. Girls at home can use concealer or a light bronzer to get the same effect. Ferullo then went to work on her eyes. She started with a light, shimmering eyeshadow over the entire lid and under her eyes as well. She then applied a soft pink shadow and added a touch of a lilac tone down toward the lashes. After applying the eyeshadows, Ferullo applied jet black eyeliner close to the lashes and then winged it out past the crease. This helps to elongate the eyes and make them stand out.
Ferullo completed Cosgrove's ultra sassy look with one of the year's hottest trends - bold red lipstick with tangerine undertones.
"It was definitely a contrasting tone to her lovely pink dress, but that's one of the things I liked about the makeup look," Ferullo told the fashion magazine.
