We just met her, so this might be crazy, but should Carly Rae Jepson change her makeup look, maybe? The brand-new "Call Me Maybe" singer wore unseasonably dark cosmetics to the Billboard Music Awards recently, not doing much to flatter her natural coloring.

Jepson kept her hair in its signature blowout, her deep brown locks falling around her shoulders and her bangs straight across her forehead. Her gown was a safe choice, which is understandable for a new star attending her first big bash. The floor-length gown was a light shade of beige, which looked more appropriate for a fall or winter gala than this glamourous spring event in Las Vegas.

Jepson's professional makeup palette also would have looked stunning in a different setting. Her red lips were a deep shade of cherry, and paired with her dark hair and heavy liner, looked wintry. On their own, her eyes were stunning and on-trend, with an eyeshadow palette that created a sassy cat eye effect.

Her eyes were lined with black liquid eyeliner, but on the bottom lashline, the liner was only applied to the outer corner. She wore a shimmery beige eyeshadow on the inner corners of her eyes to open them up and wore plenty of volumizing mascara and false lashes.
