Make Sarah Hyland's Oscars' cosmetics your own
Everybody knows Sarah Hyland as the somewhat spacey and ditzy eldest daughter in the Dunphy family on the hit comedy "Modern Family," however in real life, Hyland has got some serious style. Seventeen Magazine liked her radiant look at the recent Academy Awards so much, that they want to teach you how to achieve it. The sassy style is perfect for prom or even on a romantic date with your sweetheart.
Allen Avendano, the makeup artist who styled Hyland for the award show, spoke to the magazine about the concept and why it worked.
"Sarah's eyes inspire me! She has the most stunning green eyes and I love to make that the focus of her makeup," Avendano told the publication. "She also has amazing skin and beautiful lips so I wanted to subtly bring all her features out while keeping the focus on her eyes."
Avendano decided to do a bronze smokey eye and you can achieve this at home by first finding an eyeshadow palette with warm coppers and golds. Then, start the process by applying a layer of eye primer to the entire lid. Next apply black eyeliner on the upper and bottom lids and start going over the upper lids with the copper eyeshadow. Apply the lighter golden hue at the corners of the eyelids for definition. Avendano also added the gold eyeshadow under her bottom lids for light. He finished up with plenty of black mascara. Apply a petal pink lip color on your lips and sun-kissed bronzer on your cheeks to complete this sassy style.
InStyle Magazine reports that copper-toned cosmetics have been a popular trend this winter. Stars like Zoe Saldana and Beyonce have used the hue as bronzer to accentuate their cheeks as well as using variants to enhance their brown eyes.
