Even if you hardly wear any makeup usually, a night out is the perfect opportunity to get all dolled up. Whether you have a hot date or are headed out to a fancy dinner with your family, take the opportunity to try out one of these sassy new nighttime makeup trends.

On your lips, there are a number of trends to try. While bright lipstick in shades of coral, tangerine, pink or red are in style, try a sheer, glossy take on these colors this summer. Sheer lip glosses with dark or bright pigment look just a little more fresh and carefree in the warm weather, but are still a fun way to add color to your outfit, according to Glamour Magazine.

On your eyes, try a cat eye by winging out the ends of your eyeliner. Or, try glossy eyelids. This look is slightly more subdued than sparkly eyeshadow, but still adds a touch of glam for a night out and can be easily achieved with petroleum jelly. If you're feeling particularly daring, dab some pink lip gloss on for a rosy sheen.
