Zooey Deschanel proves once again that she was born in the wrong decade, as the adorable star of "New Girl" recently strutted her stuff in a mod mini dress and matching makeup. Deschanel turned some heads while walking the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards in a sparkly metallic-silver ensemble.

Deschanel paired her dazzling dress with some very 1960s cosmetics. The actress rocked bold tangerine orange lipstick with a copper lip gloss on top. She added a touch of girly pink blush on her naturally high cheekbones using makeup brushes and per usual, she pumped up the volume on her baby blues. The actress started by rimming her upper and lower lids in jet-black eyeliner using a fine liner brush. She then added shimmering silver eyeshadow on her top lids to the crease lines and also used the product on the inner corners of her eyes for that extra glow.

The actress's makeup looked lovely with her stunning mini dress that had touches of white on the neckline and hemline. The body of the dress was covered in sparkling silver beads and crystals that really helped Deschanel shine. She paired the gown with black tights, black pumps and a simple updo.
