"New Girl's" Zooey Deschanel always looks put-together just with her own spin. The actress displayed her unique fashion sense once again while attending the 2012 Critics' Choice Television Awards in a red dress and fresh makeup.

Deschanel went for a matchy-matchy look by keeping the red from her dress going by way of her red lipstick, though the shade on her lips was just a touch darker than the hue of her gown. The actress added a bit of golden brown bronzer on her cheekbones and played up her big baby blues. The adorable starlet rimmed her top and bottom lids in jet black eyeliner and added a touch of drama with gold and light pink eyeshadow. She finished off the fabulous style with volumizing mascara.

The actress brought along a special date during the event - her mom, though she let Zooey stand out in her fun frock. The red tea-length gown was form-fitting until her waist where it went out into a fuller skirt. The bodice of the dress had flower applique detailing that brought a modern touch to the otherwise vintage look.
