And the winners are: The leading ladies at the Primetime Emmys for fab makeup trends
Nothing says high fashion and drama quite like award shows, and the stars of TV brought their A-game while attending the recent Primetime Emmy Awards. Actresses like Zooey Deschanel, Kat Dennings and Julianne Hough dazzled during the star-studded event. Fans of these leading ladies need to take notice, as the makeup trends they rocked are sure to make a splash at parties, school and the office this fall.
The always charming and funky Zooey Deschanel made sure to glam it up on the red carpet this year. Although she didn't take home the award for best actress in a comedy, she still won our hearts with her fashion sense. The alluring diva emphasized her natural good looks starting with a fun fuchsia-toned lipstick on her perfect pout in a matte finish. Deschanel accentuated her gorgeous cheeks wearing a touch of light pink blush with shimmering peach undertones starting on the apples of her cheeks and moving upward toward her temples. The quirky actress brightened up her big blue eyes by first rimming them in black eyeliner that she spread thicker on the top lids for a dramatic style. She then applied shimmering gold and white eyeshadow on her top lids for a perfect glow.
Kat Dennings, one-half of "Two Broke Girls," proved she knows how to rock the red carpet during the recent Primetime Emmys. The actress went for a glamorous look starting with deep red lipstick. Since the lips garnered so much attention, Dennings kept the rest of her makeup minimal. For the cheeks she applied a bit of creamy pink blush that worked to accentuate her naturally high cheekbones. She enhanced her green eyes by first rimming her top lids in black eyeliner that she extended a bit past her brow lines for a cat-eye style. Dennings finished her look wearing warm brown eyeshadow on top.
Ryan Seacrest's better half, Julianne Hough, literally shimmered on the red carpet of the Primetime Emmy Awards in a light blue sequin mermaid gown with tons of intricate beadwork. As for her makeup, Hough went for full-on pin-up girl glamour. The actress, dancer and singer worked the red carpet wearing a natural feeling light brown lipstick on her perfect pout. She enhanced her cheeks wearing shimmering peach-toned blush and kept her sparkling blue eyes the focus by first rimming her top lids in thick black eyeliner. She softened her eyes wearing brown and gold eyeshadow and a few layers of volumizing mascara.
