Go for fake rather than bake when it comes to achieving a summer glow
If you're spending your summer break working inside an office all day to save money for college, don't stress about not getting a tan - just fake it instead. InStyle Magazine recently spoke with Erin Heatherton's makeup artist to discuss exactly what she did to give the model a perfect glow while attending the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards.
According to the news outlet, makeup artist Quinn Murphy created the perfect bronze beauty complexion on Heatherton by first applying a face primer to ensure the rest of the products stayed put. Next, Murphy applied a cream on the higher points of Heatherton's face where sunlight would naturally hit. After sweeping the cream on, the makeup artist dusted a shimmery powder blush along Heatherton's temples, under her cheekbones and on the tip of her chin using makeup brushes. To finish it all off, Murphy applied peach-toned blush on the apples of the model's cheeks for a pop of color. This last step, Murphy says, helps "glam up your complexion and creates a lit-from-within effect."
Teen Vogue Magazine recently offered advice on the different types ofladies everywhere should have in their bag. The magazine suggests girls have a matte that is used for contouring, an illuminating powder to give skin a glow and a -style foundation to help lock moisture in and keep imperfections out.
