dec Julianne Hough rocks retro look After Julianne Hough ditched her long blonde locks in October, she has worn her shoulder-length hair straight and wavy. However, the Footloose star tried out an entirely new style at an event for The Trevor Project, adding a level of sophistication to her usually young appearance. The dancer-turned-actress, 23, took a page out of Betty Draper's style book, wearing her golden locks in retro curls that bounced just above her shoulders. Her makeup and outfit matched the 1960s-inspired hairstyle perfectly. Her short-sleeve, high-cut ivory lace frock hit at her knees and was given a boost by her tan peep-toe heels. Her makeup was perhaps most Draper-inspired. Using matte lipstick, Hough achieved perfectly vintage red lips. Her bright blue eyes were covered with thick black liner and heavy mascara for plenty of old-Hollywood glamour. Although the actress donned chestnut brown locks in the remake of the 1984 classic, she has since returned to her signature gold color. "It costs a lot of money to get your hair done - it's not cheap - but you don't want to ruin it, and you want to go to the best person and the person who's going to keep it healthy," Hough told Us Weekly recently.
