Katy Perry was certainly the belle of the ball at the premiere of her new film "Katy Perry: Part of Me" in Los Angeles. Perry was all smiles during the event in which she wore a stunning 50s-inspired red velvet gown - with purple hair.

The diva went for full on old Hollywood glam for her silver screen debut and the style worked for her. Perry was very Jessica Rabbit-esque when it came to her dress color and cosmetics. She matched her lips to the gown by wearing a bright red lipstick in a matte finish. She kept her cheeks natural and played up her huge blue eyes with tons of black eyeliner on her top lids that went out a bit past her brow lines. She added gold and cream eyeshadow and mile-high false eyelashes to complete the look.

Perry was polished in her red velvet dress that had a deep sweetheart neckline and a form-fitting bodice. From her waist, the gown went out into a much fuller skirt that came to her knees. She accessorized the look with matching red pointed-toe pumps and her purple hair down in a side part with gentle curls.
