Solange Knowles, younger sister of Beyonce, certainly knows how to wear the hottest trends of 2012. Most recently, the singer wowed in a color blocking mini and bold cosmetics while attending a DJ event in New York City.

Knowles has always had an eye for fashion and this style is no different. The singer was stunning in a simple shift dress and powerful pink lips. Knowles played up her pout by rocking a hot pink lip color in a lip gloss finish. She added a touch of tangerine-toned bronzer on her cheeks and kept her eye makeup simple. Knowles applied black eyeliner on her upper and lower lids using a fine liner brush and added a touch of shimmery gold eyeshadow.

The singer's bold lipstick worked wonders with the other pops of color in her ensemble. Knowles' dress had thick straps and was white through her hips, the design was complete with a bright yellow skirt. The color didn't stop there, instead Knowles kicked the fashion up a notch by wearing seafoam green and metallic silver pointed-toe strappy heels. She accessorized with playful cocktail rings and a few bangles on her arm.
