To try frosted lips or not, that is the question
Some ladies out there might not know about the trend known as frosted lips, and critics are up in the air about whether or not the style works. However, the makeup and fashion experts at Glamour Magazine recently gave their stamp of approval as the lovely Diane Kruger proved she understands how to make the lipstick trend work.
The Guardian recently discussed this style as well, calling it a throwback to the 1980s.
According to the newspaper, ladies who want to try out this look that will have their lips glistening like Christmas tinsel can do so in just a few easy steps. First, prime your lips with a lip balm to keep them moist. Then apply a clear lip gloss and put on a layer of pale, shimmering lipstick. Lastly, put on the frosted or slightly glittered lip gloss to get the frozen look.
"Those with darker skin should stick to undertones of gold and orange, keeping the lips pale with a light, frosted gloss," Attracta Courtney, a makeup artist told the source. "The fair-skinned should exercise caution: orangey-pinks can highlight imperfections, while beige is notoriously draining. Stick to a warm, golden sand."
Because the lips will be the focus, ladies should keep the rest of their cosmetics minimal. Try adding a touch of warm peachy blush on your cheeks and a bit of mascara on your eyes to keep a nice balance.
