Transition neon lips into fall

Fall is finally here and although some fashionistas may be excited to try on their favorite boots and sweaters, others may be dreading the impending cold weather. If you're in the latter category, don't fret - there are still a few ways you can feel warmer as the temperature drops and it starts with rocking certain makeup trends. Glamour Magazine recently broke down exactly how ladies holding on to the last drop of summer can keep it alive with orange lipstick.

The experts report gorgeous model Annabella Barber rocked a citrus-orange style lipstick to 2012 Fun Fearless Female Awards in Australia and you can too.

Pick the perfect outfit
The trick in pulling off spring/summer style lipstick during the fall and winter is to work the right ensembles. A bold flowy patterned top with brightly colored jeans may look like you've gone off the deep end and forgot what season it is. Instead, it's best to rock subtle, dark pieces in order to let the bold color on your lips steal the show. Try a casual black mini dress with patterned tights and suede booties when rocking the orange hue.

Keep the rest of your face minimal
Aside from keeping your clothes modern and fresh, you should also do the same with the rest of your products. You won't want your bright cheeks or dark eyes to overpower the colorful lip, so keep it basic instead. Accentuate your cheeks with a touch of natural looking light pink blush, working the product from the apples of your cheeks and up toward your temples.

For the eyes, start by swiping on shimmering gold or light brown eyeshadow on your top lids, then apply a bit of metallic cream product at the inner corners to help brighten up your peepers. Next, rim your eyes in thin black eyeliner, spreading the product on a bit thicker on top for some definition. Finish the style off with a few coats of volumizing mascara.

Bold lips
After you've found the perfect ensemble and are wearing the loveliest makeup on the rest of your face, it's time to move on to the showstopper - the lips. For this look, Barber wore a true orange lipstick with hints of tangerine in it. This color is a bit out there so if you feel more comfortable in the tangerine-red family, go for it. To lock the color in place, start by swiping on a lip primer first and then apply a few coats of the lipstick for a fab finish.
