When it comes to making a statement, some ladies opt for the obvious - smokey eyes or red lipstick. However, the fabulous divas who attended the Grammys proved nude is the new red in terms of lipstick trends. Famed musicians like Jennifer Lopez and Carrie Underwood made this statement and you should too.

To look as fabulous as this triple threat, you'll need a nude lipstick and a light peach gloss, as well as black liner, light brown eyeshadow and mascara. To begin, swipe the brown hue on your top lids up to your crease lines. Next, grab the liner and apply it on your top and bottom lids, connecting the two lines past your brow lines for a unique cat-eye style. Complete the look with a few coats of mascara.

Since the eyes are so standout, it's easy to keep your lips subtle and cool. Swipe the nude lipstick on your pout followed by the peach gloss on top for a perfect combination.

Carrie Underwood
This country crooner pulled out all the stops to create a totally glamorous style. For her look, Carrie rocked ultra smokey-eyes with a nude lipstick and light pink lip gloss combo. To gain a similar style, start by swiping black shadow on your top lids to your crease lines followed by a lighter silver hue from the creases to your brow lines. Next, rim your lids in dark eyeliner and coat your lashes with mascara.

Finally, swipe the nude lipstick on your pout and add the light pink gloss for a fabulous finish.
