New York Fashion Week 2013 may now be over, but the trends spotted there are still being gazed upon. Famed designer Oscar de la Renta did not disappoint with his latest collection of brightly-patterned frocks, but some fans might be more interested in discussing the ultra smokey-eyed style models at the show were rocking.
Ladies strutting their stuff in fabulous gowns had a stern and almost masculine look due to their intense eye makeup. The look may not be for everyone, but could be a gorgeous statement with a simple frock or suit.
To recreate this trend, you'll need charcoal and deep silver eyeshadow along with deep red lipstick and a light pink product for your cheeks. Start the eyes by swiping the charcoal hue on your top lids up to the crease lines. Next, use a makeup brush to apply the same product on your bottom lids, connecting the color to the style on top at the outer corners. Add a bit of the silver shadow at the inner corners for a pop of drama.
When the eyes are totally smokey, swipe the light pink product on the apples of your cheeks and the deep red hue on your pout. The style is sure to turn heads.
