It can be hard to master that no-makeup look while simultaneously bringing focus to your eyes. Tightlining - along with a dusting of shimmery eyeshadow - is a great way to make your eyes pop, but this "invisible eyeliner" look can be tricky if you don't know where to start. Here's how to master the look:
What you'll need:
Any old pencil simply won't do if you want to tightline your eyes. It's best to use a cake formula - we recommend using a black instead of a brown hue - paired with an eyeliner brush with flat bristles. Make sure all of your products are clean before using them because tightlining, naturally, means you'll be getting close to your eye.
How to start:
Dip your brush in the cake eyeliner, use clean fingers to gently lift up your lashes and line the inner rims of your entire eye - that means upper, lower and corners. Another easy tightlining technique is to lightly dab the liner in between each individual lash - it may take more time, but if you get it right, it will be more subtle. Finish off with a few coats of black mascara on your top and bottom lashes and you'll have the perfect look for day or night!
