Emma Watson has been loved by fans young and old since she was just a young girl herself. The lovely British actress struck gold when she was awarded the part of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movie franchise and her style and makeup trends have continued to evolve since.
Glamour Magazine made the actress its October cover girl and the once-teen queen revealed a lot about her personal life, her favorite fashion and makeup trends and so much more. Watson will be making the switch from Harry Potter to serious actress in the big screen adaptation of the cult classic, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."
Watson admitted she loves acting but could do without the paparazzi and the glare of the public eye, especially since she is just trying to grow up like any other teen or 20-something around the globe.
"I just-I don't know. I just feel like if I start opening the door to talking about my university experience, then people just kind of…own everything. There was a lot of stuff a couple of years ago saying that I was bullied at Brown and awful things like that, none of which were true," Watson said in the interview. "But it's my personal experience and it's my personal life…and I would just go crazy if I didn't have a reality, if I didn’t have a life outside of the roles I play. The entertainment industry is pretty nuts, and having had that experience outside of it and going to university has really made a big difference. It's important to me to feel like I have my own life."
Part of getting more attention from the paparazzi also means she needs to be up to date on all of the latest trends in fashion and makeup. She admitted she used to always do her own hair and makeup for events, but has since given the job to a stylist.
"Yeah, I have to at this point. When I was younger, I used to do it all myself, but I've had to get help because it's gotten to a stage where I can't show up in my Converses or whatever I bought from High Street," Watson said on her fashion-sense versus what the public wants to see her in, the news source reports. "And just practically, these gowns are ridiculous. You're being photographed from every angle, so not only do you have to consider how the thing looks, but whether you're going to be able to sit in it and whether people are going to be able to see up your skirt."
One aspect of her style she isn't willing to compromise with is her short hair. The actress said she feels most confident when it's short and will only grow it out if it's for a movie role.
"I have to for roles. But if I had it my way, I would have just kept it short forever. Of course, men like long hair," Watson told the publication. "There's no two ways about it. The majority of the boys around me were like, 'Why did you do that? That's such an error.' And I was like, 'Well, honestly, I don't really care what you think!' I've never felt so confident as I did with short hair - I felt really good in my own skin."
For the spread, Watson rocked some of fall's hottest trends in clothes and makeup. For outfits, the actress strutted her stuff in metallic and patterned dresses as well as lace, tights and plaid. Her makeup look consisted of a metallic copper lipstick in a gloss finish and a touch of shimmering bronzer on her naturally high cheekbones.
The makeup artist accentuated Watson's stunning golden peepers by first rimming them in metallic charcoal eyeliner. Shimmering copper and gold eyeshadow was applied on top for a neutral smoky eye style.
