Makeup looks to steal from the stars

New Year's Eve is almost here and many ladies have their dresses, accessories and shoes all picked out. However, it's also important to plan out what makeup trends to try out. Allure Magazine recently selected its favorite stars that fashionistas may want to look to for makeup ideas this December 31.

Keira Knightley
The always stunning Keira Knightley knows how to strut her stuff on the red carpet and one of her top looks of 2012 may help ladies ring in 2013 in style. Knightley stood out in a smokey-eye and pale lip combo that will have your beau oohing and ahhing all night.

For this trend you'll need gray and brown eyeshadows along with a unique caramel-colored lipstick. When you have the products, start on the eyes by swiping the gray product on your top lids a bit before the crease lines. Next apply the brown hue from the top of the gray and up slightly past your crease lines, then blend the two products together where they meet. When the colors are perfect, rim your lids in black eyeliner and apply a few coats of volumizing mascara.

When it comes to the lips, start off by using a warm, wet face cloth to remove any dead skin, then swipe on a chapstick to lock in moisture. Finally swipe on the caramel product for the complete Keira Knightley effect.

Emma Stone
This leading lady is always on point in terms of fashion - from changing her hair color to revamping her eye makeup, there is no style this girl is afraid to try. Most recently, the darling diva turned heads wearing pearly eye makeup and pouty pink lips.

To achieve a similar style, you'll first need a cream-based eyeshadow in cream and gold colors. If you already have these colors in powder form, simply mix a bit of the colors in with Vaseline for a similar effect without breaking the bank. You'll also need black eyeliner and raspberry pink lipstick.

For the eyes, start by applying a primer to help lock the color in, then apply the gold hue on top to your crease lines, blending it with your finger. Next, take the cream color and swipe it on up to your brow lines and also at your inner corners for a gorgeous glow.  Finish the eye makeup by rimming your lids in a thin line of liner.

To rock Stone's lips, first line them in a nude hue to keep the color in place. Then swipe on the hue starting in the middle and working it out to the edges. Add on a top layer of gloss for a perfect shine.
