If you've seen the trailer for The Hunger Games movie, (and who hasn't?) you are probably psyched to see how the directors and crew adapted a number of aspects of the book onto the silver screen - especially the crazy makeup trends from the Capitol.
According to Ve Neill, one of the film's 35 full-time makeup artists, the crew stuck as closely as they could to the book for the characters' looks.
"I think we stuck really closely to the book …as closely as we could," she said at a recent Syfy Digital Press Tour. "There were some things we really couldn't do and there were some things we felt … y'now, in a book it's really fabulous - things read really well - but in real life some things don't … transform or transfer [from] that realm as well."
Glamour Magazine reports that Elizabeth Banks, who plays Effie Trinket, Katniss Everdeen's trusty escort from the Capitol of Panem, had one of the most intense makeup palettes. Banks was airbrushed with pale pink foundation first, then given a eye makeup design for each outfit.
