When most girls think about blue eyeshadow, they think back to the horrible makeup and fashion choices they made in the 80s. However, with the right hue and complementing cosmetics - you can do blue for 2012. Glamour Magazine reports one of its favorite trends right now was seen on actress Beth Behrs and it was oh-so-blue.
According to the fashion experts, Behrs made her look so 2012 by pairing her deep blue eyeshadow with a peach shade, offering a contrast that also helped warm up her entire face.
To achieve a similar look for prom or a night on the town with your best guy, start by applying eye primer on your lids to keep the bold color in place. Next, find an eyeshadow palette with plenty of shades of blue to pick one you like best. Once you find a great color, swipe it on your top lids using makeup brushes and push the color up to the creases. Next, use a fine liner brush to swipe the hue on your bottom lids, acting as eyeliner. Finally, add a peach, or gold-toned eyeshadow and apply it above the blue color on your top lids, then put on some volumizing mascara to finish off this stellar style.
Teen Vogue Magazine reports other fresh faced actresses like Chloe Moretz have also dared to go blue. According to the publication, Moretz went for a pastel blue eyeshadow while attending the Versace for H&M launch party.
