Looking for a dramatic nighttime look to pair with that to-die-for dress you just picked up? False lashes are a great way to help your eyes stand out - celebs swear by them! Best of all? They won't be overpowered by any of the creative eyeshadow techniques you try, unlike traditional mascara. Don't be intimidated by applying false eyelashes - just follow our easy guide:
It's best to apply false eyelashes before swiping on the rest of your cosmetics, so use makeup remover to be sure your lashes and lids are perfectly clean before beginning.
False eyelashes are not a one-size-fits all deal, so you may have to trim your pair - if they're too long they could droop and look unnatural. Hold them up to your eyes before applying the eyelash glue to make sure that you measured properly. Then, bend them into a C-shape and hold for a few seconds.
To apply the false eyelashes, place a dab of glue on a cotton swab or toothpick and glide it onto the lash strip, concentrating on the ends (you don't want your lashes to unstick when you blink!). After approximately 10 seconds, apply the falsies at the base of your natural lashes. Five minutes later, add a quick coat of mascara to blend your real lashes with the fake ones.
