The holiday season is finally here and for many fashionistas, the best part of Hanukkah and Christmas may be getting to show off their fabulous makeup to family and friends. In order to make an entrance, Glamour Magazine recently discussed tons of holiday looks so ladies can pick and choose their favorites.
Sparkling smokey eyes
Perhaps one of the top beauty trends of this season is a spin on smokey eye makeup. Instead of using pure black and gray hues, opt for ones that have a hint of shimmer, this will help enhance your eyes, while still showing off your Christmas spirit.
Soften up the style a bit by wearing a soft peach product on the apples of your cheeks and a similar hue on your lips. Add in more shimmer by way of a top layer of gloss.
Perk up with pinks
Ladies looking to lighten up and show off their sweeter side may want to take fashion tips from the fabulous Kelly Rowland. The diva rocked a pink-on-pink style during a recent event and the experts at the magazine feel it's a makeup home run.
For this style, grab a metallic pink eyeshadow and swipe it on your top lids, having it go slightly above your crease lines. Add a bit of cream shadow at the inner corners to tone down the pink. Next, grab your black eyeliner and rim your top and bottom lids, pushing the product out past your eyebrows on top for a modern cat-eye trend. Continue with the pink hue on your lips - make sure to look for a product with a matte finish to avoid looking too young.
Nude gloss + bold eyes
Nothing says it's the holidays quite like bold eye makeup. To achieve a gorgeous look, swipe metallic silver eyeshadow on your top lids and at the inner corners for the perfect glow. Next, take your standard black pencil liner and swipe it on your top lids, making it go thicker as you move toward the outer corners. When you have a perfected wing style, go over the product with a black liquid liner for more definition. For major drama, apply false lashes on top as this will help your eyes stand out.
Since your peepers are meant to be the star in this trend, keep the rest of your look simple. A touch of peach or light brown bronzer on your cheeks will be lovely, as will a nude or slightly peach lipstick.
