There is nothing worse than waking up feeling groggy and ill-prepared to conquer the day. If you are looking for ways to be able to put your best face forward, Allure Magazine is here to help. The experts at the publication recently broke down the best beauty tricks for making ladies feel good about themselves, and most tips are easy to achieve.
Hide the puff
Cramming for that biology test all night might score you an A, but it will do nothing for your complexion the next day. If you've woken up with puffy under eyes on multiple occasions, then this tip is for you.
If you have a bit of time in the morning, it may be smart to try and use a cooling gel on your face for a few minutes to reduce the puff. You could also lay with sliced cucumbers for a short amount of time to get a similar effect.
When your eyes are a bit more normal, you'll next want to camouflage the imperfections using a cream-based concealer. When you find a suitable product, use your fingers to apply little dollops of it on the trouble zone and then blend it into your skin by moving it around in small circles.
Try something new
In some instances, feeling better about yourself can be as simple as switching up your beauty routine. If you've been a fan of a specific lipstick shade for the better half of this decade, it may be time to try something different. A professional makeup artist told the magazine a great choice for ladies to try this winter is a hot pink lip color.
"It has a great combination of cool and warm undertones that work for all skin tones," the artist told the publication.
Even though the pop of color may brighten your day, seeing flaky, dry skin mixed in on your lips certainly won't. To avoid these impressions, start your beauty routine by wetting a face cloth with warm water and pressing it over your lips for 2 minutes. After the allotted time, start moving the cloth around in a circular motion in order to gently remove any issues. Swipe on a lip balm to lock in moisture before applying the main event - funky lipstick.
Be bold with blush
Another instant trick to try this winter is to brighten up your skin with a gorgeous blush on your cheeks. Look for products in the pink/peach family for a lovely and natural glow.
