Carrie Underwood stuck with her standard look for the Academy of Country Music Awards, managing to strike the perfect balance of sassy, sweet and elegant. The country singer wore her platinum blonde locks in cascading curls that covered one of the bare shoulders exposed by her strapless gown.
The ivory gown fell all the way to the red carpet Underwood arrived on, and featured a bold slit up the left leg, exposing the songstress's silver peep-toe pumps. The gown was embellished with silver embroidery and beadwork.
Underwood did not stray far from her ordinary makeup palettes for her red carpet look. Her smoky eyes contrasted with her ethereal gown and hair, and she kept her blush, bronzer and lip color relatively neutral to allow her eyes to pop. Her eyes were lined with black eyeliner, which was blended with dark shades of gray and silver to accent her dress.
To copy this look, stick to the dark, graphite shades of a 120 eyeshadow palette and apply the darkest to your lashline with a fine eyeliner brush. Use a blending brush to spread the color just above your crease and finish with a generous coat of mascara.
