Maybe you've agreed to an impromptu night out with the girls or maybe you're late to class and only have a few minutes to do your makeup - we've all been in these high-stress, little-time situations. However, there are a few makeup ideas you can master so you always look stunning (even if you are a little late).
The goal is to make your face look brighter and more awake, so here are the makeup ideas you need to prioritize.
When you don't have time for the whole moisturizer-face primer-foundation routine, stick to the basics - a little pressed powder and bronzer may do it for some, while others can dab a little Vaseline on their cheeks for a dewy look.
Bronzer seems like it's made to make you look tan, but this is only partially true. Applying just enough bronzer to your cheeks, forehead and the bridge of your nose can help you look healthy and wide awake in a way that other cosmetics cannot. If you have time, blush can give you a healthy flush, too.
It doesn't take much to have lips like a goddess, but it requires just a little bit more than your everyday lip balm. For a quick, easy and natural look, apply a lipstick that is the same color as your natural lip color and then follow up with a clear lip gloss. You will look done up, but not like you tried too hard.
That said, gliding on the perfect red lipstick is kind of like an instant pick-me-up for your face. In fact, Taylor Swift, one of the most gorgeous fans of the red lips trend, told Glamour Magazine that she carries a stick of red with her at all times for an insta-glam look.
You might not have time to apply eye primer for a perfectly smooth eyeshadow finish, so it might be better to skip this cosmetic. Unless your lashes are extremely light or thin, you can skip eyeliner and mascara altogether. Simply curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and apply some light, shimmery eyeshadow just to the inner corners of your eyes to make them look wider and more awake. This will also combat any dark circles and signs of tiredness. A white or light, pearly color eyeliner also does a great job at this - just swipe some under your bottom lash line for instantly bright eyes.
