The fall and spring fashion shows may be over, but that doesn't mean fashionistas need to worry, instead they can take the time to learn from the recent styles and cosmetics that popped up around the world. Glamour Magazine recently broke down some of the hottest makeup trends from the shows, giving you a peek at what to watch out for in the coming months.
For spring, it's out with the dark smoky eye and in with a bright hued version. Purple was all the rage at the recent shows and the bold color was rather refreshing. Models were seen wearing purple eyeshadow, eyeliner and even mascara. Although you may not be willing to go this far just yet, starting with one option - either lilac eyeshadow or using fine liner brushes to apply a purple eyeliner may be enough to make a statement.
Another bold beauty trend as seen on models during the Peter Som show was striped eyeshadow. That's right ladies, stripes. To achieve this look, first apply a creamy white or gold eyeshadow on your entire upper lids. Next, find a plum eyeliner that you can use to draw a horizontal line right above the top eyelid crease. Then soften the line using a blending brush. Finally apply mascara and enjoy being sassy.
Harper's Bazaar reports that another trend that continues to captivate the fashion world is red lipstick. However, this isn't your grandma's red, as many models worked shades with copper, tangerine and even darker, brown undertones.
