Taylor Swift's audience may be on the younger side, but this country singer looked all grown up at the 54th Grammy Awards on Sunday. She was hardly recognizable without her signature blonde ringlets, but she looked stunning and sophisticated all the same.
Swift wore her newly-straight tresses all pulled back to reveal the high collar of her unique, glittering gold gown. On the red carpet, the "Mean" singer told E! personality Ryan Seacrest that this dress was her favorite that she has ever worn, and that she is simply impressed that someone created such a piece of art.
The hand-embroidered gown featured intricate gold, rose and bronze beads and a cut-out back. Cap sleeves and a sparkling collar that reaches half way up Swift's neck set her apart from other artists at the event.
Perhaps heeding recent comments about her look always being the same, Swift chose an entirely different makeup palette for the Grammys. As if her straight updo wasn't different enough, she did away with her signature red lips for a night and instead wore a more natural lip palette along with simple eye makeup.
