The best blue eyeshadow hues to add to your collection

It can be a challenge to pull off blue eyeshadow without looking like you just stepped out of the 1980s, but there are a ton of amazing hues available that are more "ocean" and less "embarrassing photos of your mother." You'll want to incorporate these gorgeous shades into your makeup routine this summer:

Seafoam
A light dusting of this magical color will have you feeling like a princess. Choose a matte powder and apply a thin layer to your eyelids, using a brush to remove any excess color that may make the look too heavy. Top off your eye makeup with a thin line of eyeliner and mascara on your top and bottom lashes.

Turquoise
A heavier pigment, turquoise can easily overpower your face, so make sure to use it sparingly. For a more subtle look, tap a medium-sized brush free of any extra powder before dusting it on your eyelids. You can also use a small brush to transform this vibrant hue into a unique eyeliner.

Cobalt
Cobalt is fantastic for an evening look, but you'll want to mix it with a bit of gold to tone down the severity of the color and give your eyelids a bit of shimmer. The combination of an angled brush and cream eyeshadow turns cobalt into a stunning eyeliner that will make your peepers pop.
