Tweeze those eyebrows to frame your face

We all spend plenty of time testing out the latest eyeshadow palettes and trying to get our makeup to look just-so, but a gorgeous face starts with the perfect frame, and that's where your eyebrows come in. Try out our tweezing 101 guide to plucking the ideal face-framing shape:

Prepare
The tweezers you use should be sharp and slanted, and have a good enough grip that you don't have to worry about your hand accidentally slipping. It's also a good idea to pluck your brows right after taking a hot shower because it opens up your pores and will make the hair come out more easily.

Pluck
To get the right shape, use a pencil to make sure your brows begin directly above your tear duct, peak at the outer side of your iris, and end at a point that's 45 degrees from the outer corner of your eye. Never use a magnifying mirror, because it can cause you to accidentally over-pluck.

Perfect
The second you're done tweezing, pat on a cortisone cream to reduce redness and inflammation. Each time you do your makeup, use a brow brush to keep the hairs in place and color in any sparse areas with a pencil that's a shade lighter than your hair.
