Hi dolls!

Welcome back to my blog.

As you know BH Cosmetics is another one of my favorite beauty brands.  I first heard about them from watching Nicole Guierro on Youtube where she showed the original Blush and Contour palette.  When I had gone to their site I could not believe how affordable they were, and come on let’s face it if Nicole Guierro was using it then it was a must have for me lol :)  Ever since then I have always purchased from them.  This new product really caught my interest so I had to grab it and try it out.

Beauty blenders are my favorite tool when applying makeup.  I feel that they leave the best finish on the skin.  As of right now I own the Original Beauty Blender, Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, and now the BH Studio Pro Beauty Sponge.

This sponge is available on http://www.bhcosmetics.com and retails for $9.95.  This site always has great flash sales so I’m sure you will be able to get it for a lot cheaper.

It is purple, and a little smaller then the other sponges.  I have tested it out both dry, and wet, and I think its great both ways.  Wet gave me more of a natural coverage, and dry gave me more of a full coverage.  The pointed top makes applying and blending concealer under the eyes, nose, and forehead a breeze, while the flatter bottom is ideal for blending in foundation, and even your contour.

When you first feel it you might think it is rather stiff, but once you wet it and start using it, you will see how bouncy and great it is.

It is latex free, and hypo allergenic.

To clean this sponge, I dip it in a small amount of olive oil and let it sit in a bowl of anti-bacterial dish soap for half an hour, and then rinse clean.

BH Cosmetics never disappoints me and this is another product from them that I highly recommend if you want so save some money.  I will do a full review on all three sponges so you can have an easier time choosing which might work best for you.

Thank you for reading.

I am an absolute sucker for eyeshadow palettes. Show me a palette in neutrals and it’ll be on my dressing table in 10 seconds flat. This palette is a little outside my usual comfort zone but it is just so stunningly pretty that I couldn’t resist (I tried!).

The Product – BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Palette ($22.95 USD)

I actually purchased this palette from a little store called My Cube in the Myer Centre in Brisbane, so I paid a little more than the RRP of $23 USD….but it was worth it! It caught my eye one day and I thought about it so much that I just had to go back and buy it. I mean, a space-themed eyeshadow palette, who could walk past that?

The palette itself contains 18 shimmery, baked eyeshadows, all with space-themed names. There are a range of colours but the main themes are blue, orange, brown and purple. They aren’t colours that I would usually go for but they are just stunning to look at. The colour payoff is also pretty amazing, you really only need a tiny bit of shadow. The only downside would be the fallout, which is minor but still pretty annoying. My favourite shades would have to be Milky Way (a shimmery white-pink), Mars (a bold orange), Pluto (a black-purple) and Sun (a red-gold shimmer) but I love every single shade in the palette. I also think the palette itself is great, very sturdy with a decent sized mirror. I do feel like the shadows wouldn’t travel well, they do seem a little delicate and prone to smashing, but I’m more than happy to give this palette a permanent home on my dressing table.

Colors For Your Eyes Only

Want to enhance your eye color for a look that really pops? It’s as easy as using shades of shadow that are complementary and analogous (similar) to your own color!

For example, brown eye colors generally have an orange-yellow undertone. On a color wheel, the analagous colors for brown have yellow and orange undertones—think brown, gold, and copper shades. The complementary colors for brown eyes have blue or violet undertones—like purple and plum. To find the best shades for your own unique eye color, pick up a color wheel at your local art supply store or find one online.

Use our guide below to help you create the perfect makeup combination to make your gorgeous eyes stand out among the crowd. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

BH Cosmetics 10 Piece Sculpt and Blend Brush Set

It’s been a while since I purchased new makeup brushes, so a few weeks back I decided to place an order for some new ones! BHCosmetics is a go-to website for me when it comes to makeup brushes. I’ve ordered several sets from this brand, and I’m in love with everyone one of them! BHCosmetics brushes are a staple in my everyday makeup routine, so I was excited to see how the BHCosmetics 10 Piece Sculpt and Blend Brush Set compared to the other sets I’ve tried and love.
The set comes with five larger brushes. (L-R) The Angled Blending Face Brush, the Round Blending Face Brush, the Angled Contouring Face Brush, the Tapered Contouring Face Brush, and the Flat Blending Face Brush are all included in the set. If you’re big on contouring, these five brushes are things you should have in your makeup routine. Each brush is dense, but not so dense that they’re stiff. The brushes are also super soft, which makes blending in product super easy. I love using these on myself, as well as my clients.
The set also comes with five smaller brushes. (Top to bottom) The Small Tapered Contouring Face Brush, the Small Angled Contouring Face Brush, the Small Flat Blending Face Brush, the Small Round Blending Face Brush, and the Small Angled Blending Face Brush are also included in the set. These are suppose to be used to contour smaller areas of the face, which I love using them for, but I also use them for things such as applying concealer! When I work with clients, I use brushes/tools to apply everything, and these are perfect for applying concealer anywhere on the face! They’re dense enough to pack on a lot of product, but soft enough to blend the product in well. These are a staple for myself as well as for clients!
This brush set retails for $29.95 on BHCosmetics website, but its almost always on sale. I purchased mine for $19.95 (on sale). These are perfect for personal or freelance makeup artistry use, and they are super affordable, which makes them even more amazing. Also, I’ve only had these brushes a few weeks, but I haven’t noticed any shedding with me constantly using/washing them. I’ve had most of my BHCosmetics brushes for close to two years, and they’re still in amazing condition! If you’re looking for great, affordable brushes, definitely check these out!

Guys, I think I am in love.

I have discovered an AWESOME website. It is called BH Cosmetics… I recently ordered the ’10pc pop art’ brush set. I was weary, because I am so content with my M.A.C and Sigma brushes! But, let’s get real, they are GREAT, HOLY GRAIL brushes…. SERIOUSLY but who is going to pay $30 for an eyeshadow brush other than me, and other Makeup Artists? The answer… only crazy people.

I just received my BH package that included the ‘Pop Art’ brush set, an eyeshadow palette, and a brow gel (because who isn’t up for trying new makeup?) Let me tell y’all, I LOVE IT!!!! My brushes are synthetic, which is ok since every makeup artist needs some synthetic brushes and some natural brushes in my opinion. They are colorful, but seem to be good quality and they come in
a super cute striped case. I am impressed, and the AWESOME part of the AWESOME website is that I paid like $15.00 for the brushes.

The brow gel and the eyeshadow palette were also impressive. The color options that I got with the ‘fifth edition’ eye shadow palette were great. I liked the variations of pinks, neutrals and browns so much that I just ordered another one for my bridal kit. As for the brow gel, it matched my current liner almost perfectly, went on silky smooth, and (DRUMROLL PLEASE) stayed on ALL DAY. FYI I paid $5.50 for it. SAY WHAATTT? I know, it’s crazy. But it’s true! I wouldn’t lie to you all.

So my conclusion is, go give it a try!
