Nearly a decade after the ultra meta series finale that changed the reality TV landscape, MTV is finally giving the people what they want: The Hills reboot. In tonight’s buzzed about premiere, The Hills: New Beginnings will reunite original cast members (plus a few notable newcomers) and give them the opportunity to write their newest chapters in friendships, romance and success.
In anticipation of the reboot, we’re taking a look at the stars’ beauty evolution from the 2006 premiere to now. Click here for a little background music while you take a walk down memory lane...
It’s hardly The Hills without LC, but this classic beauty has moved on to bigger and better things, and sadly won’t be joining the reboot (I think we’ll all shed a single tear over this). In true LC fashion, her makeup evolution has remained timeless, simple and tasteful, with understated looks that highlight her natural beauty.
From feuds with LC, to swooping in on Justin Bobby and becoming the official “Queen Bee” of the final two seasons, Kristin stirred up her fair share of drama while on The Hills. She now has her own reality show on E!, and unfortunately won’t be joining the reboot. As for her beauty evolution, she still has a year-long post-vacation glow, but has come a long way from the “mean girl” we once loved to hate and now rocks an elegant and understated makeup look.
The biggest beauty transformation definitely goes to Heidi. Unlike the rest of the cast, Heidi’s evolution started very soon after the show began. Over the years, we watched her go from a fresh-faced and golden blonde girl-next-door to undergoing 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day. While the Heidi we see today is almost unrecognizable from when we first met her in 2006, when it comes to makeup, Heidi has kept it pretty simple over the years.
As the resident ~cool~ girl of the show, Audrina gave us that bit of edge that we needed amongst the sea of blonde on The Hills. Since being on the show, Audrina’s ditched the charcoal eyeliner and overly-flat-ironed hair for a more sophisticated look featuring bold smokey eyes and a classy balayage. She’s still giving us biker-girl vibes, though.
LC’s former co-worker was laid back in every way – she stayed out of the drama, worked hard and wore very little makeup on camera. Now, Whitney looks almost exactly as she did when she started on the show. She’s the queen of accentuating her natural beauty, and always looks fresh-faced, dewy and above all - classy.
Introduced as a potential rival for LC, Spencer’s little sister became a source of a lot of family drama on the show. Since The Hills, she moved to the UK where she joined the cast of the popular reality show, Made in Chelsea. Much like Heidi, Stephanie has undergone quite a transformation to get to the heavily bronzed airbrushed look we see today.
